Laaken Asset Management N.V. (Laaken) is responsible for the processing of your personal data through our website as shown in this statement. Laaken respects your privacy and complies with the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This document is intended to inform you about our privacy policy, the conditions and intent under which we process your information and how you can best exercise your privacy rights under GDPR.
What personal data is processed?
Laaken will only process your personal data via the website if you yourself have provided it via the contact page. In that case we will process your name and your e-mail address as you have provided them plus the telephone number and any questions or remarks that you may have provided in the online form. If you login to our webportal, Laaken will process the date and time of login. These data are matched to personal data in our files. When you consult our website without login to the portal and without providing your details, we do not process any personal data and process only general information about the use of the website. We do not use tracking and do not collect information other than the information that visitors enter themselves to determine the identity of our visitors or to build profiles.
Special and/or sensitive personal data
We do not intend to collect special and/or sensitive personal data through our website and advise visitors not to provide such data via the website. Our website does not intend to collect any data at all about visitors who are younger than 16 years. However, we do not have the possibility to check the age of our website visitors and, if the visitor is a minor, whether permission from parents or guardians to share information exists. We encourage parents to be involved in the online activities of their children in order to prevent data about children being collected. If you think that we have collected personal information about a minor, please contact us via info@laaken.nl and we will delete this information.
Why does Laaken process your personal data?
Laaken will only process your personal data through our website if you have provided it yourself via the contact page. This processing serves the following purposes:
- To contact you by email or telephone regarding our services and / or the questions or comments made by you via the website
- For sending newsletters, advertisements or other information about our services
Login data is processed to check if our online services and communications reach our clients in an uninterrupted and correct way.
Automated decision making
Laaken does not take generic or specific decisions based on automated processing, nor on matters that can have (significant) consequences for you. Decisions based on automated processing are decisions taken by computer programs or systems without involving a person.
Data storage period
Laaken does not store your personal data longer than is necessary to achieve the purposes for which it is collected. All commercial electronic messages from Laaken include an ‘opt-out’ link with which you can have your data at Laaken deleted.
Does Laaken share your personal data with third parties?
Laaken will only share your personal data with third parties if this is necessary for the purpose of the processing and only the personal data that is required for this purpose. We have data processing agreements with the companies that are commissioned by us to process your data to ensure the same high level of security and confidentiality of data that Laaken uses internally. Laaken remains responsible for the processing operations. Finally, we can share your data based on your explicit consent. In all cases, Laaken will only share your personal data if the legal conditions for this have been met. Laaken never sells your personal information or shares your data for profit.
Visitor data and Google Marketing Platform
We use Google Analytics to track general visitor data and to analyze how effective our advertisements are. We also use Google Analytics to measure the behavior of (anonymous) visitors on our website. The data is therefore used for statistical analyses of visiting and clicking behavior on the website. We also optimize the operation of the website. We have set up Google Analytics as privacy-friendly as possible, which means, among other things, that IP addresses and other identifiable information are anonymized and data is sent over a secure connection. We also use other analysis and optimization tools available within the Google Marketing Platform. Including, but not limited to, Google Ads and Google Tag Manager. We have a processing agreement with Google.
Use of cookies
We use cookies when offering electronic services and the information on this website. A cookie is a simple small file that is sent with pages from this website and stored by your browser on the hard drive of your computer. We use cookies to remember your settings and preferences. The Cookiebot tool blocks cookies if you have not given permission for this (with the exception of functional cookies).
View, revise and/or transfer your personal data
You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw your consent to the data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by us. You have the right to data portability. You have the right to receive your personal information that Laaken processes via the website in a structured, current and machine-readable form or to have Laaken make this available to a third party. Send your request for access, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data or request for cancellation of your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to info@laaken.nl. To verify the request is made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your identity document with this request. Delete your passport photo, the strip with numbers on the identity document, the document number and your citizen/social security/national insurance/other unique personal identification number from the copy. This is to protect your privacy. We will respond as quickly as possible, but within four weeks.
